1. Acceptance

By downloading or using GymBum you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. App Store license

If you downloaded GymBum from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If anything in these terms conflicts with that agreement, Apple's agreement prevails.

3. What GymBum is

GymBum is a personal tool to plan workouts, log sets and track your progress. It is not a medical, nutritional or professional coaching service, and it does not replace advice from a qualified professional.

4. Health and risks

Physical exercise carries a risk of injury. See a doctor before starting or changing a training program, especially if you have any injury, illness, heart problems or high blood pressure, are pregnant, take medication or have not trained in a long time. You use the routines, exercises, weights and technique cues at your own risk. Warm up, use proper technique and get a spotter for heavy lifts. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or any discomfort. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

5. Estimates

Calories, estimated 1RM, BMI, reference weight and progression suggestions ("ADD WEIGHT") are approximate calculations for guidance only. They may be off by 30% or more and must not be used for medical, health or nutrition decisions.

6. Motivational messages

The messages in the app are deliberately harsh and humorous, meant to motivate. They are not intended to offend anyone. You can turn off the message on launch in Settings.

7. Your data

Everything you log is stored only on your device. You are responsible for making backups. If you delete the app, change phones or the device fails without a backup, the data cannot be recovered. See the privacy policy.

8. Acceptable use

You may not copy, modify, decompile or redistribute the app except as permitted by law or the App Store license.

9. Third-party content

Exercise photos come from Free Exercise DB, released into the public domain (Unlicense). Photos you add are yours and remain your responsibility.

10. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of information, freedom from errors or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the GymBum developer shall not be liable for injuries, harm to health, data loss or any other direct or indirect damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

12. Changes

These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one published on this page.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to any rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
